The American Farmhouse Café & Grill (AFG) is quickly becoming one of the hottest new eateries with flavor in Manhattan Beach.   AFG was opened in April 2009 by a Manhattan Beach resident who grew up along California’s Central Coast and was involved with numerous steakhouse restaurants there. 

The idea behind the concept is from the old farmhouse that stood on the family's farm for nearly 100 years in Sisseton, South Dakota.   
The old farmhouse was said to be a "kit" home such as one of the "Sears catalog homes." 

AFG features hearty, affordable cuisine for all ages.  It’s a cozy place to enjoy the comforting savory flavors of California’s Central Coast!    Open for breakfast, lunch, supper and dinner.  A versatile menu includes: Farmhouse French toast, Ranch Style Skillets, Smoke Grilled Breakfast Wraps, Eggs made to order, Hot Breakfast Sandwiches, Santa Maria Style Tri-Tip Sandwiches, Oak-Pit Burgers with Grilled Onions, Flat-Iron Sirloin Sandwiches, Rib-Eye Steak Sandwiches, Big Farmhouse Salads, Fish, Lobster, Farmhouse Sundaes, Pie and much more.
